WERXshops! Industry Spotlight: AppDynamics

November 1, 2022

TOPIC | AppDynamics: Finding Performance Problems Before They Find You

MGMWERX proudly presents WERXshops, a series of events, demonstrations, discussions, and seminars designed to provide Air University students, Airmen, and the public with opportunities to learn from the best Subject Matter Experts. We are bringing you expertise representing academia, industry, technology, innovation, national security, foreign policy, space and so much more.

The November installment of WERXShops is a company spotlight on DOD approved software development company, AppDynamics!

In this session we will cover:

  • Use of diagnostic instrumentation for critical applications including CICD pipelines
  • How to reduce mean-time-to-resolution and proactively remediate issues
  • The benefits of code-level visibility and how to interpret key indicators within your application
  • Full-Stack Observability with AppDynamics and Cisco
  • Monitor Application Performance Proactively
  • Reduce Mean Time to Resolution (MTTR)
  • Enhance Cloud Migration Visibility
  • Optimize End-User Experience

Using advanced machine learning, AppDynamics learns application performance on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis, establishing a dynamic baseline. When an app deviates from the baseline, your team is alerted so they can quickly identify and resolve potential problems before users are impacted or a mission is adversely affected. AppDynamics can also help address modernization and upgrade issues through real-time visibility into an app’s performance and dependencies.

When application problems occur, your team can quickly identify the root cause — whether it is in development, test, or production — based on how the app is relating to its surrounding infrastructure. Anomaly detection capabilities enabled with artificial intelligence alert you immediately when anomalous behavior occurs and pinpoints where it is occurring, allowing for fast mitigation and minimized user impact. With a holistic view of an application’s performance and code-level diagnostics, you dramatically lower MTTR, enable faster troubleshooting and eliminate war-room finger pointing.

When transitioning to the cloud, AppDynamics helps agencies ensure their applications are optimized to leverage the power, scalability, and efficiencies of a modern cloud architecture. With in-depth before- and after- application performance baselines, you can minimize the risks associated with a migration by ensuring that application availability and performance service level agreements are honored, and any performance gaps are quickly identified and rectified.

AppDynamics’ deep visibility into your users’ application experiences provides you with an understanding of how usage variables, such as a user’s location, browser version, or device type, relate to performance issues that could affect mission outcomes. Comprehensive dashboards tell you whether applications are running as expected or abnormally, and how the application code or the IT infrastructure can be adjusted for better performance and reliability.

The event will be November 28th at 11:30am CDT on MWX ZoomGov platform

Access to the Virtual Demonstration will open at 11:15am CDT and the discussion begins at 11:30pm CDT.
