Event Synopsis

This inaugural Community AR/VR Exposition highlighted the new innovations in augmented and virtual capabilities of Air University. Air University is currently applying AR/VR technology to Airman flight, emotional and diversity training. The goal of the community iExpo was to expose state and local leaders to the many applications of this technology. AR/VR technology is applicable to businesses, educational systems, and state/local training programs. It can engulf us in our history and geography or amazing realism can engage sight, sound, and smell. This is the tool for the workforce of of the future

Event Outcomes

  • Connected over 40 community leaders to Air University (AU) AR/VR Research
  • Local emergency and first respondent agencies are currently communicating with Air University on AR/VR technology applications
  • Connected Air University AR/VR Task Force with Creative Forces Community Engagement for grant opportunities
