On 9 January 2020, MGMWERX facilitated a Community College of the Air Force (CCAF) Problem Definition Workshop (PDW). This specialized event brought together Subject Matter Experts from the CCAF, Air University, and the Communications Directorate, or AU/A6.
During the collaborative PDW, the group was led through a tailored method to assist them in detecting current and future system integration pitfalls, identifying known and unknown impacted stakeholders and customers, and determining the most efficient and effective way to precipitate a smooth integration from current legacy databases into the new Student Information System (SIS), expected to come online in 2020.
The task force identified feasible collaborative steps to reduce or overcome present obstacles affecting CCAF transcript intake, integration, and delivery to schools and customers around the world.
In the end, Lt Col. Melanie Presuto, Commandant of the Community College of the Air Force, was given a detailed update of the findings. Moreover, she was asked to approve the task force’s pragmatic problem statement designed to guide the task force as they implement improvement processes and create solutions bettering access to all CCAF customers and AU stakeholders across the entire enterprise.
