MGMWERX has partnered with Montgomery Fighting COVID and TECHMGM to help support those on the frontlines fighting COVID-19

(Montgomery, Ala.) — MGMWERX has partnered with Montgomery Fighting COVID and TECHMGM to help support those on the frontlines fighting COVID-19. This multi-agency collaboration inspired a STEM challenge focused on providing face shields to local healthcare workers. The face shields will be supplied to the Montgomery Emergency Management Agency (EMA) for distribution to healthcare providers.

“When we were approached with the opportunity to support both a local STEM initiative and our healthcare professionals, we instantly wanted to collaborate” said Joyce Vaughn, MGMWERX’s Marketing and Events Manager. “Each group involved, that is, the local school groups, TECHMGM, MGMWERX, Montgomery Fighting COVID, and the EMA brought resources to help get additional PPE to our local medical professionals.”

MGMWERX has provided the filament to schools willing to 3D print face shields. Montgomery Fighting COVID, an alliance of local makers, have provided additional printing resources to support the effort. Partners, TECHMGM, led the effort to organize local schools and robotics teams.
