MONTGOMERY, ALABAMA – Red Hat’s DevSecOps Roadshow will be stopping in town at MGMWERX on Oct. 24 at 8 a.m. – 4 p.m. IT architects, developers/operations engineers, security specialists, and technical leads are encouraged to attend the workshop. Red Hat will feature education on their OpenShift Container Platform and provide a unique hands-on opportunity to build a software supply chain and utilize DevSecOps techniques.
“Red Hat workshops are designed to introduce emerging technologies to new users and allow participants the ability to gain hands-on experience with the tools,” explained a Red Hat representative. “We consider these activities to be an excellent educational opportunity to learn more about digital transformation that is in-line with the USAF strategy on software development.”
During the workshop, attendees will receive a thorough overview of the OpenShift Container Platform. Red Hat believes that this Platform may benefit mission-critical applications and leverage an assembly line approach that automates increasing levels of security assurance for each step in the process. In addition to the information on OpenShift, attendees can expect to leave with knowledge on Jenkins and other industry tools; automating development and deployment processes using containers; and how to build an end-to-end trusted software supply chain
The Red Hat representative went on to state, “Red Hat’s objective is to drive awareness regarding our digital transformation capabilities and to strengthen our partnership with the community.”
Workshop attendees should have a laptop, access to a Web browser, and a free personal GitHub account. MGMWERX will provide the facilities for the workshop as they continue to create opportunities for advancements in and between military and non-military professionals.
“This workshop, like many events at MGMWERX, will provide an opportunity for both our military and civilian partners to gain greater exposure to an emerging technology,” shared Joyce Vaughn, Marketing and Events Manager at MGMWERX. “For some this will be an initial touchpoint that we will use to communicate the greater services and capabilities that the MGMWERX team can provide.”
Red Hat is eager to partner with MGMWERX in their efforts to expand knowledge and comradery between both military and non-military individuals.
“MGMWERX offers a community of shared interest, coupled with an amazing venue that will allow Red Hat to offer a meaningful enrichment experience focused on emerging transformation processes, tools, and innovation,” declared a Red Hat representative.
