MGMWERX to Host Red Hat’s IT Automation Workshop

MONTGOMERY, ALABAMA  – On November 14 at 8:30 a.m. – 3:30 p.m., MGMWERX will host a free IT automation workshop featuring Red Hat and their IT automation engine, Ansible.  The workshop, titled “Ansible Automation Technical Workshop,” will feature a breakdown of the Ansible system, demos, and a competition.

“Red Hat workshops are designed to introduce emerging technologies to new users and allow participants the ability to gain hands-on experience with the tools,” explained a Red Hat representative. “We consider these activities to be an excellent educational opportunity to learn more about digital transformation that is in-line with the USAF strategy on software development.”

Red Hat boasts that Ansible is the “simplest way to automate IT.”  The tool is utilized by organizations to simplify their IT environments and hasten DevOps initiatives.  The workshop will provide attendees with knowledge of the basics of Ansible, how it works, how to recycle Ansible content, and all the mechanics of the Ansible Tower, a web-based tool that accentuates the ease of use that Ansible provides.

The Red Hat representative went on to state, “Red Hat’s objective is to drive awareness regarding our digital transformation capabilities and to strengthen our partnership with the community.”

The workshop is targeted to IT engineers, system administrators, developers, operations staff, security professionals, and anyone with an interest in IT automation.  Workshop attendees should have a laptop with ADMIN rights, the ability to SSH to a lab environment hosted in a public cloud, and working knowledge of SSH, BASH, Linux system admin, DevOps, and distributed application architecture.  MGMWERX will provide the facilities for the workshop as they continue to create opportunities for advancements in and between military and non-military professionals.

“This workshop, like many events at MGMWERX, will provide an opportunity for both our military and civilian partners to gain greater exposure to an emerging technology,” shared Joyce Vaughn, Marketing and Events Manager at MGMWERX.  “For some this will be an initial touchpoint that we will use to communicate the greater services and capabilities that the MGMWERX team can provide.”

Red Hat is eager to partner with MGMWERX in their efforts to expand knowledge and comradery between both military and non-military individuals.

“MGMWERX offers a community of shared interest, coupled with an amazing venue that will allow Red Hat to offer a meaningful enrichment experience focused on emerging transformation processes, tools, and innovation,” declared a Red Hat representative.
